AUTOMATIC GRID-GENERATOR SWITCHING.

Comprises a unit with TWO MOTORISED THERMOMAGNETIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS, with mechanical latching, CONTROL BOX and TOUCH-SCREEN DISPLAY.

The control box envisages a micro-PLC, circuit protection, grid and generator voltage watchdog, backup power supply and relays, all to manage the motorised circuit breakers and give start and stop orders to the generator set. By means of a 4" touch-sensitive display showing an easy-to-understand and highly intuitive overview, the user can view the grid and generator status, switch positions and alert/alarm signals. The circuit breakers can be opened and closed manually using the pushbuttons and generator start-up tests performed (with or without a load) supplying the receivers via the generator voltage.

The manual controls may be password protected to avoid accidental or unauthorised operation.

The main advantage of the system is its versatility (it is suitable for any type of motorised circuit breaker, e.g. Siemens, Merlin Guerin, ABB, Moeller, etc…), its connections (all components plugged in by rapid safety connectors to facilitate replacement and maintenance of any of the components), simplicity (joint management of the generator and switching) and flexibility (easily expanded for management and control of more than one switchover or several generators).
