CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT OF TRACK LIGHTING AT THE MADRID "PALACIO DE DEPORTES" SPORTS STADIUM.

System for the control and management of turning on 270 spotlights on the tracks at the "Palacio de Deportes" run by the Madrid Autonomous Region (Comunidad de Madrid) with various modes of operation according to the amount of light needed for TV broadcasting and the type of event or sport being carried out. The system is controlled by a central computer managing the database software, with timer-controlled schedules to turn the lights on and off, and actions on the electrical panels to physically turn the lights on without the need for a PLC, given that it contains an ISA card which handles communication with the various panels by means of a fieldbus and software performing the SCADA and PLC functions together.
